Party/Event Hire Terms & Conditions

By checking the "I accept the terms and conditions" box, I agree to:

1. Payment & Booking

   • Making full payment to ensure the date & time is secured.
      

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

   • A full refund if I give at least 7 days' notice of cancellation.

   • A 50% refund for up to 48 hours' notice of cancellation.

   • No refund if cancellations are made less than 48 hours before.

   • A full refund if The Curious Play Cafe has to cancel my party for any reason.
      

3. Hire Time & Premises Use

   • Hire time is for 2 hours, including 15 minutes before to set up and 15 minutes after to clear away.

   • I will ensure all attendees have left the premises by the hire end time.
      

4. Prohibited Items & Behavior

   • No alcohol, illegal drugs, or weapons will be brought onto the premises.

   • The Curious Play Cafe reserves the right to refuse entry to any party guest appearing to be under the influence.
      

5. Food & Allergy Responsibility

   • I am welcome to bring my own food, but I will be responsible for managing allergies carefully.

   • I am welcome to bring my own birthday cake, but I will be responsible for managing allergies carefully.
      

6. Health & Safety

   • As the booking adult, I agree that attendee health and safety is my responsibility, including allergies, medication, and risk assessment of play equipment.

   • I understand that I have ultimate responsibility for evacuating party-goers in the event of a fire, and I must make myself familiar with the fire exits before the party begins.
      

7. Play Equipment & Damage Policy

   • The Curious Play Cafe reserves the right to charge "cost price" for any intentional damage or damage resulting from misuse of play equipment during the session.

   • This excludes general wear and tear.
      

8. Waste Disposal

   • I agree to take any rubbish, food waste, and recycling home with me for proper disposal.
      

9. Age Suitability

   • Whilst well-supervised "sensible siblings" are welcome, The Curious Play Cafe’s play equipment is designed for 0-5-year-olds, and some equipment may not be suitable for older children.
      

By agreeing to these terms, I confirm my understanding and responsibility for the event at The Curious Play Cafe.
